Update! :D

The first term back in Kirklandneuk has been fun and we have loved getting to know our new class mates and our new teacher Miss Lochhead. We spent some time getting to know each other and creating our class charter in relation to the Convention of the Rights of the Child.

We have also been learning lots about an Islamic festival called Eid Il Fitr. We worked very hard creating symmetrical prayer mats and Eid cards for our classmates. They looked amazing! We enjoyed listening to Islamic music during our lessons. We particularly loved a song called 'Ramadan Moon'. Check it out on YouTube!

Thank you to everyone who came to our Harvest Assembly, we appreciate all of your support. The feedback you gave us was amazing. We enjoyed singing, dancing and acting for you all. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! We were so proud of the amount of food the school brought in for the Food Bank.

We also have some very exciting news! Mr Niven brought back an amazing wooden frog called Victor from Malawi and it sent P3 a letter! He asked us to find out as much as we could about Malawi and Children's Rights. We looked at different houses in Scotland and Malawi and created some beautiful African art work. Check out the blog to see our wonderful work.

We have also been using Mangahigh in class and at home to improve our maths skills. Lots of us have been getting bronze, silver and even gold medals!! Amazing! Who will be at the top of the class?
